Sponsorship of a Community-led HIV/Aids Awareness Project |
|
Your £175 sponsorship will help to purchase materials necessary for the construction of a basic pit latrine and washroom facility at a traditional homestead in one of our community support areas in Kenya. Provision of these facilities will help to improve the sanitation & health of local families and will also enable them to offer basic ‘Home Stay’ accommodation to visitors/paying guests, thereby helping to provide an income. |

Your sponsorship contribution, how ever large or small, will help to cover the annual costs of hosting CCI-Kenya’s websites which help to provide an important link/network and outreach facility for local community groups in Kenya, as well as providing a useful source of information and photographs for individuals, schools, researchers and other interested support organisations. |

Donation in Support of CCI-Kenya’s Community Support & Project Facilitation Activities |
|
CCI-Kenya (CommunityConservation Initiative) is a non-profit initiative operated under the auspices of The Albufera Initiative for Biodiversity (TAIB) Ltd. The work of CCI-Kenya is carried out by Elizabeth Riddiford, CCI-Kenya’s Founder & Project Facilitator/Community Conservation Coordinator.
As far as possible, Elizabeth’s CCI-Kenya expenses are kept to the minimum by providing general project facilitation support to local community-led groups in the field on a self-funded/volunteer basis & by the use of local public transport & home-stay accommodation facilities kindly provided by the community groups themselves. However, this type & level of funding is not sufficient on its own, nor is it sustainable in the long-term. Additional funding assistance is therefore needed to help offset some of the essential costs associated with CCI-Kenya’s important community support & project facilitation activities in the field, as well as time, costs & activities associated with the development of new training materials, maintenance of this website & other related office expenses. |
