Text Box: 5) The Muliru Farmers Conservation Group based in the  Kakamega rain-forest need  funding & practical assistance towards improving the water catchment, bore-hole, water pump & lighting facilities at their small factory premises & production facilities. This is so that they may increase work longer periods each day & throughout the year in order to cope with the high demand for their environmentally-friendly product Naturub (see also Muliru Farmers Project Profile (pdf) &  Naturub’ Distillery for more background information). 

Assistance is also requested with start-up funding & relevant training & capacity-building towards the setting-up of other income-related activities aimed at poverty reduction in the wider community & to help with their local environmental conservation efforts.
















6) Kakamega Environmental Education Group (KEEP)
Assistance with funding is needed for  their Saturday Conservation Clubs & Schools Outreach Programmes, as well help with promotion & sales of local-made crafts, energy-saving devices & use of their new eco-tourism accommodation facilities. Assistance with the promotion & sales of butterflies from the KEEP butterfly farm is also needed.
