Please note: If you or your organisation would like to make a direct offer of practical support or funding to one of the following community groups mentioned on this CCI-Kenya website please go to our Disclaimer pages for further information and important advice. 1) The Koija HOPE Club (young Ilwaso Laikipiac maasai pastoralists) are needing additional funds to help buy fencing and seed for their re-seeding & land-rehabilitation project in their semi-arid homeland in Mukogodo, Laikipia; Koija HOPE Club are also needing appropriate & relevant information & education resource materials concerning HIV/AIDS awareness & other related issues for use with members of the local youth & wider community. Funds & guidance are also needed to assist them with the purchase of appropriate equipment for the recording & documentation of their local aural narrative tradition. 2) The Ewaso Women’s Group & Koija Cultural Manyatta are needing help with the promotion & sales of income-related activities such as jewellery-making, honey production, eco-tourism, etc. The community is also highlighting an urgent need for improved water-catchment & borehole facilities.
