Naturub ointments made using essential oils extracted from the traditional medicinal plant Ocimum kilmandscharicum. |

Using essential oils from Ocimum kilmandscharicum, Naturub ointment helps against colds, nasal congestion, chesty coughs, insect bites and stings and other health complaints. |

6) Ocimum kilmandscharicum |
|
Ocimum kilmandscharicum an indigenous plant of the forest, now grown commercially in local shambas for its essential oils used in Naturub production. |

|
Drying harvested Ocimum leaves at the Muliru distillery. Demand for Naturub is high & production of Ocimum is good but a further increase production to cope with demand is being hampered by the need for more drying space. |
|
Muliru Farmers are in the process of constructing a special drying banda for the Ocimum but need funds from donors or well-wishers to help them with its completion. |

Muliru Farmers would also like to establish an organic farm facility whereby local people can earn some income and also train others in organic farming methods for use on their shambas. |
